It feels like just a few years have passed since I was watching and playing games with Melissa and Sarah when their parents went out. I was so surprised when I saw them today! They are all grown up; beautiful, poised and smart. I also had the privilege of meeting Jim and Joan, who celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary today! The sky was threatening rain but we worked quickly and kept a brisk pace to keep warm. Winter has arrived finally arrived in Florida. Thank you for a wonderful day!

Sims Family Portraits
I love my job! Why, you may ask? The answer is simple. I get to be hang out with people like the Sims all day. We head outside and get a little muddy. We'll scamper through a play ground, do a few handstands and when all is said and done, laugh more than the daily required amount. When the group is as large as 15 people, it's alot to handle. But they were patient, and willing to try new things. They didn't even get mad at me if I forgot a name or two, 'ay "Richie?" Haha Thank you for helping with that unwieldy reflector and for teasing smiles out of nowhere. I already felt lucky to know Alex and Kaleena, but.. let's face it, you all are an awesome family and I'm blessed to have met the whole gang! Thanks for a great day!

Sophia
What is it about holding a baby that shrinks your world so much? I don't think I'll ever stop being awe struck by their tiny warmth, or captivated by all their miniature details.
Sarah had her baby last week! A tiny little blessing just in time for Thanksgiving. I wanted so badly to be able to take pictures during those first few days, but I had a stubborn cold and didn't get the opportunity until yesterday. As I held this tiny little girl in my arms I just about lost it. She is healthy, alert, and sweet... and she has absolutely perfect lips, (she gets it from her Mama!) Florida has been uncooperatively wet and cold this week, so we stayed inside and used some halogen lamps (last resort!). I can't wait for my new equipment to come in! All set backs aside, we made it work. I can't tell you how much I love this little family. Stay tuned, I'm going to try to take some more next week when the sun comes back out!
In the mean time, welcome to the world Sophia Jeanne!

Alaina and Larissa
I graduated from East Lake High in 2007, since then a lot of things have changed. For instance, now there are 7 classes 4 days a week; most of my favorite teachers are now retired, and the dark room is now being used as studio space to practice lighting. One thing, however, has remained the same, somewhere in those long halls there are still vibrant, fun people. Alaina and Larissa are full of energy and were willing to try some crazy things! I don't know many girls willing to try to balance with each other on top of a hill! Had an awesome day with my other two 2010 senior reps! Thank you both, and good luck!
